I’ve completed more than 100 books thus far in 2024 — a bit behind my pace from 2023, but still, not too bad.  And yes, some of those books were on the short side. But not all — I’ve read six books this year that were 500 pages or longer. I try to balance my reading between fiction, non-fiction and inspirational books. Fiction is lagging behind in 2024, which no doubt accounts for its poor representation here. And my inspirational reading has been a bit underwhelming. But I’ve been on a tear recently; I read half the books on this list in the last month.   Anyway, I hope my reading habits will encourage you to read more — and especially, read with a view of improving your ability to function as a Christian in an ungodly environment.

10. A Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens
9.  Thunderstruck, by Eric Larson
8. Mastery,  by George Leonard
7. The Impeachers, by Brenda Wineapple
6. Barnum, by Robert WiGeorge Vecsey
5. Cash, by Johnny Cash
4. Musial, by George Vecsey
3. A Man of iron, by Troy Senik
2. Luckenbach, Texas, by Becky Crouch Patterson
1. Boundaries, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend
