COACHING, part 2: with Kris Emerson and Terry Francis
Show Notes

We’re back with the rest of my conversation with Kris Emerson and Terry Francis; if you missed the first part, do yourself a favor and check it out. In this section I bring up the idea of the “authentic swing” from “The Legend of Bagger Vance” (which I consider to be bogus — both the concept and the book), and then ask how true to our individual nature we should try to be. Then I turn to my poor efforts to teach chess to my daughter and use that to discuss how adept we must be to take on a coaching role.
